Liquefied petroleum gas is one of the commonly used fuels in both civilian and industrial production. During the storage and transportation of liquefied petroleum gas, measuring the liquid level is an important task that requires not only high accuracy but also good adaptability to the working conditions of closed pressure vessels. At the same time, in order to meet the needs of remote monitoring and management, it is also necessary to require the measurement data to have the function of long-distance transmission.
In the measurement of liquid level in liquefied gas tanks, magnetostrictive level gauges are an ideal choice. Liquefied gas is mainly composed of hydrocarbon substances with low dielectric constants, which usually have high volatility. However, electromagnetic waves have a slow response to media with low dielectric constants, weak echo signals, and some even penetrate the medium directly, returning false signals, making it impossible to measure. Therefore, the application of radar or ultrasound in this situation is not ideal. The magnetostrictive night level gauge is not affected by these factors and can quickly measure the liquid level height.
Similarly, magnetostrictive level gauges can also be used for liquid level measurement in solvent tanks.
